If you want to improve your English before you start your university journey, our English Language courses are for you. There are different options available depending on your current English language level.
University English Entry Course (UEEC)
This course is for students who have received a conditional offer from UNSW, but do not meet UNSW’s English language entry requirements. The course is offered over 10, 15 or 20 weeks. Approximately 90% of students pass the course and progress directly into their chosen degrees without needing to retake an English language test (e.g. IELTS).
Foundation English Entry Course (FEEC)
This course is designed to assist you in developing the English language skills required to successfully complete a UNSW Foundation Studies Program. Upon successful completion, you progress directly into your Foundation Studies Program without having to retake an IELTS, or equivalent language test. Approximately 90% of students who take this course successfully go on to the Foundation Studies Program.
Tertiary Orientation Program (TOP)
This is a 5-week English course for students who have received a full offer from UNSW, but wish to further develop their English language skills and learn about the Australian university culture, to maximise their success in their academic studies at UNSW.
Essential Academic English Course (EAEC)
This is a 10-week English course for students who wish to prepare for UEEC or FEEC with developing academic reading, writing, speaking and thinking skills.
