International Student Experience Unit (ISEU)

International Student Experience Unit (ISEU) is the main point of contact for all international students. It’s where you’ll find answers to all your questions about your arrival, your studies, your visa, support information for your family, and more.

At our Welcome Centre you will be greeted by friendly staff members and student volunteers who can give you information about settling into Sydney and studying at UNSW.

International students under 18

Arrangements must be made for students under 18 years of age. These requirements are in line with Australian government regulations for the care and welfare of international students under 18.

Prepare for your arrival

If you haven’t confirmed your university accommodation before you arrive, we recommend you allow three to four weeks before classes begin to look for private housing, settle in and attend orientation sessions. Be sure to book short-term accommodation first, then look for long-term options in person. Short-term accommodation can include private hotels, motels, hostels, lodges or furnished apartments ranging from A$45 to A$300 per day.
