These new programs will include:
- Global Education courses for all undergraduate students from 2012/13 with the introduction of the NextGen Student system. 500 courses have been identified from existing courses and, as new international degree programs are launched new Global Education courses will be added to the register.
- ‘Summer Down Under’ at UNSW from November 2011 to February 2012 – for gap year and international students seeking a summer session at UNSW.
- Three new International Degrees in: COFA, FBE and Engineering to augment the Bachelor of International Studies (FASS), the Bachelor of Commerce - International (ASB), the Bachelor of Science – International (Science), the Bachelor of Law / Bachelor of International Studies (Law). International degree streams are one of the distinguishing factors of the emerging UNSW model.
- Engineering students will now have access to formal student exchange opportunities at some of the most prestigious universities in the world who are part of a GE3 consortium co-ordinated by the Institute of International Education in New York.
The International Intranet (LION) will be launched during Session 2 2011 and will provide one simple repository for UNSW university partners and contacts worldwide, research, student exchange, practicum and dual degree agreements, travel reports, international initiatives and projects on a country basis, and UNSW student recruitment partners (agents) in selected countries.
