You are considered to be an international student if you do not have:
- Australian or New Zealand citizenship, or
- full permanent residence status in Australia.
Am I a local student?
You are considered to be a local student if you do have:
- Australian or New Zealand citizenship, or
- full permanent residence status in Australia.
These criteria apply even if you completed your schooling outside Australia.
Dual citizenship
If you have Australian or New Zealand citizenship and citizenship of another country, you are considered to be a local student – even if you completed your schooling outside Australia.
