There are also several things you need to do to finalise your transfer of credit and organise your re-enrollment.
Returned Student Questionnaire
When you return from exchange, please complete a Returned Student Questionnaire and email it to toc@unsw.edu.au. The information you provide is a useful resource for prospective exchange students.
You will also need to complete the final steps for your transfer of credit
Remember to check that your UNSW transcript is updated and that your course exemptions are correct so that you can graduate on time.

Re-enrolment
If you are returning to UNSW for the first semester of the academic year, follow the normal enrolment procedures and complete your online enrolment during the normal re-enrolment period.
If you are returning for the second semester, check your online enrolment via my.unsw in plenty of time and complete your enrolment for the coming sessions.
If a course you wish to enrol in has pre-requisites that you completed overseas but your credit has not yet been transferred, take your transcript from the partner university to your faculty and discuss the situation with them.
If you are at all unsure about the status of your enrolment, log on to www.my.unsw.edu.au
De-briefing session
The Global Education and Student Exchange Office holds a de-briefing session for returned students. The session is held in the first week of the semester and covers general administration as well as some information to help you settle back into life in Sydney. It is also an opportunity to tell us about your exchange experiences and to compare experiences with other returning students. The session runs for about an hour and refreshments are provided.
We love to hear about your exchange experiences send us a short summary on your exchange along with a photo for us to feature on our website.
Reverse culture shock
After you return home, you may feel restless and bored, or that your personal relationships have changed, or that your friends are not interested in hearing about your experience overseas.
Just as you had to adjust to a new culture overseas, you now have to readjust to life back home.
The best way to readjust is to understand that reverse culture shock is normal, and that in time you will cultivate a deep appreciation of both your exchange culture and your home environment. But above all, stay involved with the exchange program.
If you need further information or support to readjust to life in Australia, contact the Counselling Office by email counselling@unsw.edu.au
Staying involved
After you return from exchange, we encourage you to stay involved in the Exchange Program. Each semester we host more than 200 exchange students coming to UNSW from all over the world. We run the Aussie Mate program, give regular information seminars and hold an annual expo, so there is always a lot going on. We rely on returned students to help us with our activities.
Aussie Mate
The Aussie Mate program is a fantastic way to stay involved with the exchange program and meet lots of interesting international students, some of whom are likely to come from the country where you did your exchange. Please contact the Global Education and Student Exchange Office if you would like to be matched up with an international buddy or if you are able to participate in our exchange orientation activities.
