Internship opportunities include:
- Volunteer internship: Many companies, both locally and overseas, offer internships for students at UNSW. You work voluntarily for a company or organization to gain experience. If you are introduced by an organisation, you may need to pay a fee. For example, AIESEC is an international student organisation that offers information on internships. The UNSW Careers and Employment Office advertises opportunities at UNSW and provides access to their database of internship possibilities via their website. The Careers and Employment Office also holds a vacation/internship expo every year.
- Internships for academic credit: Many faculties have discipline-specific opportunities available for their students. These faculties include FASS, Engineering and Law. These internships may count towards your degree program. Please consult your faculty for further information. Some of our exchange partner universities offer internships for exchange students. Consult your host institution see if you are eligible for these programs.
- Paid internships: Theses internships are very competitive, as students are employed and paid to work for a company in an entry-level position. The positions are generally advertised on UNSW Careers and Employment Office
