Use the popular job placement websites, MyCareer and Seek. These carry advertisements placed directly by employers as well as job placement agencies.
You can also check the local newspapers – The Southern Courier and The Wentworth Courier – for part-time and casual work. These newspapers are distributed free and can be obtained from many shops and outlets.

When you start work, your employer will ask you for a tax file number (TFN). To obtain a TFN, visit the Australian Tax Office website.
Having a TFN means that your employer deducts less tax from your wages. If you don’t have a TFN, your employer must deduct the maximum tax rate (45%) from your wages.
