Future of Change coursework scholarships for India

To apply for a Future of Change Scholarship, you will need to be an Indian citizen residing in India, meet the eligibility and selection criteria, have an offer to study at UNSW commencing in semester 1 or 2 2017, create a video testimonial and complete your online scholarship application on our Scholarships website.

Video specifications

Create a digital video testimonial (two minutes or less) that tells us how a Future of Change Scholarship from UNSW will help you to achieve your future aspirations. See the steps below for more instructions.

Applicants must submit a Vimeo or YouTube link (URL) to a playable video in their online application.
The video must be a length of two minutes or less.
Submitting a link to download a file will not be accepted.

Steps to enter
  1. Check your eligibility and the selection criteria. You need to be an Indian citizen residing in India, see more below.
  2. You must have applied and received an offer of admission into a UNSW undergraduate or postgraduate degree program.
  3. Create your two-minute video. This is your licence to get innovative!
  4. Visit UNSW Scholarships to begin your online scholarship application.
  5. Register and login.
  6. Complete your online scholarship application and be sure to include your video link.
  7. Submit your scholarship application online by 30 May 2017.
  8. Successful applicants will be notified by phone or in writing.
Eligibility and selection criteria
Eligibility
Residency

Citizen of India, who are not permanent resident of Australia.

General

To be eligible, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Be a citizen of India, and not a permanent resident of Australia; and 

  • Must be residing in India, prior to commencing study at UNSW; and
  • Must have applied and received an offer of admission into a UNSW undergraduate or postgraduate degree program; and
  • Be a commencing student at UNSW in semester 1 and 2, 2017. (Please note that successful scholarship applicants will be announced in June 2017 and funds will be awarded in semester 2, 2017.); and
  • Must have submitted a Scholarships application (including their video submission); and
  • Have achieved a minimum academic result, as demonstrated in their UNSW admission application of: 


Undergraduate admission

All India Senior School Certificate (AISSC) a minimum of 1 point over the academic entry requirement; or
Indian School Certificate (ISC) a minimum of 2 points over the academic entry requirement; or
International Baccalaureate (IB) – at least 2 point over academic program entry; or
GCE A Levels – at least 1 points over program entry 


Postgraduate admission

Completion of a recognised bachelor degree in India with a minimum grade equivalent to a UNSW GPA of 70
Submitted a digital video testimonial of how a scholarship at UNSW will help them achieve their aspirations.

UNSW degree program

Any UNSW undergraduate or postgraduate degree program at UNSW.

Selection criteria

Each applicant will be assessed on their ability to demonstrate Academic Merit and 
the digital video testimonial (see eligibility above).

Other scholarships available

UNSW Canberra PhD Scholarships for India

UNSW Canberra is offering up to 10 exciting scholarships to outstanding future PhD students from India to study in Canberra in 2017.

Successful candidates must commence their PhD program in the semester they have been given admission (Semester 1 or 2 of 2017).

Application process

PhD applicants from India who meet the eligibility requirements will be automatically considered for this scholarship. To be eligible, applicants must submit an application for admission and a UNSW Scholarship that covers tuition fees and a stipend. Candidates will be ranked by the UNSW scholarship selection process.

Scholarship value

Each scholarship is valued at $10,000 paid in two instalments: $5,000 on commencement of study and $5,000 after confirmation of PhD candidature.

The scholarships are co-funded by UNSW Canberra and the ACT Government through Study Canberra.

UNSW Business School India & Sri Lanka Scholarships

The UNSW Business School India & Sri Lanka Scholarship scheme is open to high performing students from India and Sri Lanka, who are applying to an undergraduate degree program offered by UNSW Business School.

Each Scholarship is valued at $20,000 and will be paid against tuition fees.

Applications for semester 2 2017 (July commencement) are now open and will close on 30 May 2017.

UNSW Scientia PhD Scholarships

Open to all eligible international students, the UNSW Scientia PhD Scholarship Scheme matches candidates with our best researchers in targeted areas of research strength. These prestigious scholarships include a stipend of $40,000 per year for 4 years and a support package of up to $10,000 per year awarded to provide support for development activities, international collaboration and other related expenses.
