Things To Do After Arrival



THINGS TO DO AFTER ARRIVAL

Register your arrival at International Student Services
International Student Services will be open Monday to Friday, from 9am to 5 pm and Saturdays 9am to 12 pm during busy intake periods.
 
Attend one of the Arriving & Surviving briefing session (Mon, Wed, Fri 10am-1pm @ ISS Meeting Room) for all the practical things you need to do concerning your enrolment, finding accommodation, opening bank accounts, registering for your health care cover, safety, campus tour, etc.
 
Secure accommodation through International Student Housing Assistance (ISHA)
  • located at ISS Student Lounge, Gound Level of Goodsell Building
  • open from 9 June until 24 July 2009, Mon-Fri 9am-5pm, Sat 9am-12noon
 
Open a bank account ( you will need passport) within the first 7 days of arrival -
ANZ Bank (West Wing of Quadrangle map grid E15) and Commonwealth Bank (next to Library map grid F22) banks on campus
 
You may use ISS as temporary forwarding address until you have a permanent Sydney address. The postal address is:

Register and get your OSHC membership card from your OSHC provider as the final step of your enrolment process.

To make your transition a little easier, take the opportunity to email or meet a UniBuddy. UniBuddys are senior students who provide support to new students making their transition to university life.
