Information for Partners

The following information is intended for exchange coordinators at UNSW's exchange partner institutions. Students from a partner institution who are interested in applying for exchange to UNSW must apply and be nominated by the Exchange Office at their home university.

Students who are seeking admission to UNSW as a regular degree-seeking candidate should refer to the future students section.

Students who are not from one of our partner institutions but who want to spend a semester or a year at UNSW may wish to consider Study Abroad.

Students interested in obtaining research experience or professional/industrial practice are NOT exchange students and should refer to the Practicum Program section for the application form and relevant information.

Exchange Application Deadlines

The Exchange application deadline for UNSW Semester one is 15 October and for Semester two is 1 April.  Acceptances for Semester one are forwarded to our exchange partners in November or December of the previous year. For session two acceptances are forwarded in April/May of the same year.

Exchange Application Guidelines

The UNSW International Exchange Office has moved to an online application form. Partner Institutions should have received an email with their logon and password details.  If you are a partner institution and have not yet received this information, please contact the UNSW Exchange Office.

As has been the case in the past, in order for students to apply for exchange to UNSW they first need to be nominated by the Exchange Office at their Home University. The contact person at this office will need to log onto our application site and enter their students' details, thereby nominating their students. An email will then be sent to the nominated students with information on how to submit their online application form. We hope that this is an easier process for both students and our partner institutions. Once students have submitted their online application, they will need to print their application, sign the relevant declaration section and forward it to their Home Exchange Office with all supporting documentation. These documents then need to be forwarded to the UNSW Exchange Office by the application deadline.
