Choose your degree

Choose your degree from 'Degree areas' in the horizontal bar above or from our international student guides, noting down the degree code.

Check your entry requirements

You need to satisfy your chosen degree's entry requirements and UNSW’s English language requirements. If you need help, head to enquiry.unsw.edu.au for assistance.

Submit your application online

Submit your application at UNSW Apply Online. Click 'Register now' and fill out your details. Upload your supporting documents and pay your application fee.

Track your application

To track your application or upload any additional documents (after you have submitted your application and received a receipt letter), you will need to log in to myUNSW, not Apply Online. To log in to myUNSW, you will need your UNSW login ID (i.e. 'z1234567') and UniPass. To get your UniPass, please go to UNSW Identity Manager (IDM) and follow the setup instructions using the information in your receipt letter. If you are a recognised UNSW agent you will need login details and permission from your applicant to access their account. 

It takes up to three weeks for UNSW to assess your application.

We will send you a letter of offer

We will send you a full offer if everything is fine or a conditional offer if more steps are required. We will inform you of these steps.

Accept your offer

If you received a full offer, you can accept it at gettingstarted.unsw.edu.au. Pay your deposit and you will receive an electronic confirmation of enrolment (eCoE).

Enrol online

You can then enrol in your degree and courses online at myUNSW

Find a research area

You need to satisfy minimum eligibility requirements for your proposed postgraduate research program. You also need to match your area of interest to one of our faculties. Visit the Graduate Research School website for more.

Find a supervisor and develop a research description

Most faculties require researchers to secure an agreement for supervision prior to the submission of a formal application. Descriptions of your research interest should be around one page in length.

Prepare your documentation

All documents must be in English or include a certified English translation. Scanned copies are sufficient.

Submit your application

Submit your application at UNSW Apply Online. Click 'Register now' and fill out your details. You will receive an ID and password to log in. After logging in, go to 'My Applications' and follow the directions. Please submit only one application. You can apply for scholarships within your application.

Track your application

After submitting your application, you will be emailed a confirmation receipt with your UNSW Student ID and a list of any outstanding documentation. You can track the progress of your application through myUNSW. Applications take around 6-8 weeks to process.

We will send you an offer

Accept your offer and enrol online

If you receive a full offer, accept it through myUNSW. You then need to enrol for the start of the semester. Please note, you are not able to do this online. You will be emailed information about the enrolment procedure.

Nomination by your university

Please check your home university is a partner with UNSW. If it is a partner, contact the Exchange Office at your university. If you are selected by your home university to participate in an exchange program at UNSW, they will nominate you via Endeavour, our online application platform.

Receive instructions

Once nominated by your home university, you will be sent an email with login details and instructions on how to complete and submit your application on our Endeavour platform.

Check your eligibility

Check the UNSW courses you wish to study are offered in the semester you will be at UNSW. Make sure you research your courses carefully.

Submit your application

You can submit your application on the Endeavour platform. Provide supporting documents including your academic transcript, ID page of your passport and proof of English language, if applicable. An email confirmation will be sent to you. It takes up to six weeks for UNSW to process your application.

Accept your offer

Our Student Exchange team will send you an offer by email. Accept your offer online, pay your deposit and receive your Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE).

Apply for your visa

Once you have received your CoE, you can apply for your visa. Details will be provided.

Book flights

After your visa has been confirmed, book your flights so you arrive in time for orientation.

Submit your application

Check the name on your application is the same as on your passport. Upload supporting documentation into the Endeavour platform. Include your most recent academic transcript in pdf format, the ID page of your passport and proof of English language proficiency, if relevant. An email confirmation will be sent to you.

Receive your offer

Your application will be assessed by Study Abroad for up to 6 weeks. If successful, you will receive your letter of offer by email.

Accept your offer

Follow the instructions in your letter of offer to accept it. Pay your deposit and health cover (OHSC) fees, if applicable. You will then receive your certificate of enrolment (CoE).

Apply for a visa

Once you have received your CoE, you can apply for your visa. Details will be provided.

Book flights

After your visa has been confirmed, book your flights so you arrive in time for orientation.

Submit your application

Complete the application form and include the ID page of your passport, a valid copy of your student visa (if already granted), certified copies of your academic transcripts, copies of IELTS or TOEFL test results and a parent consent form if under the age of 18. An email confirmation will be sent to you.

A completed application is usually processed within 2 business days. We may not be able to accept your application until all documentation is received.

Decide on your preferred course.

Submit your application

On the course page, click the 'Apply Now' button. Fill out your details and upload supporting documents. If you are under 18 years of age, your parent or guardian will need to sign the form for you. Please read important information about our Under 18 Care Arrangements.

Receive your letter of offer

When you receive your letter of offer, check the details carefully and read and understand our conditions of enrolment provided here.

Accept your offer

To secure your place with us, you will need to sign and return the Acceptance Agreement together with your fee payment. The fees due will be listed in your letter of offer. Please note, you will also need to organise health cover.

Organise your visa

We will then issue a Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE). With this you can apply for your visa.

Book flights

After confirming your visa, make travel and accommodation arrangements to arrive in time for orientation.
